Your Primer for STM8L is a complete development platform for exploring the features of this and other MCUs. The STM8L152C6 Target Board allows you to take advantage of a range of features on the Primer's base platform and on the Target Board while developing your applications for the STM8L line of MCUs.

Unpacking:
Your Primer consists of a base and Target Board. Each is packaged in its own box. These boxes contain:

EvoPrimer -or- Open4 Base with base platform, USB cable, a generic "Welcome Letter"

STM8L152C6 Target Board: Target board with its MCU, pedestal with solar cells, an STM8L-specific "Welcome Letter"
The STM8L Target Board functions when mounted on the base platform, or in a standalone mode. To get started using this board, refer to the Welcome Letter provided with the Target Board and the STM8L-EvoPrimer user manual provided in the resources below.
